not sure if this is the right place to post his, but either way, itll still be seen. my boyfirend and i want to cosplay at next years comic con at philly. we want to match with our cosplays but we cant think of anything that we both agree on. he likes big dudes in armor, like gears of war style, or the tough kind of guys. i want to do something from one of my mangas that i read, but he doesnt like any of those characters. any suggestions on sometihng we might be able to agree on?

Does it have to be a couple you are cosplaying?
Otherwise you could do Ed and Al from Fullmetal Alchemist. (Since Al is basically a giant amor.)
Since I don't know what mangas you are reading, it is harder for me to know what the posibillities are.
Do you know Pumpkin Scissors? The male maincharacter is a big guy from a speciel-anti-tank group(Tough enough to take on a tank alone.). I am not sure if it is a manga too thoug, I saw it as an anime.
Finally, if you can't agree when Comic-con draws closer, you might want to make an agreement on letting one decide next year, and the other to decide the year after.

If you can't decide on two characters from the same thing, just go as separate characters that are still cute together.

try Garen and Katerina from the game League of Legends. if you don't like Katerina you can also go for Ahri, her outfit is closer to anime characters, she's a ninetails. other option might be Raki and Claire from Claymore, both are armors. or if you'd like to go with something different you may also try something from Shingeki no Kyojin (Titan). Your boyfriend could be the armored Titan and you can be Mikasa, the titan slayer. the costume is simple and nice. If it really has to be armor and princess-like, then try something from prince of Persia.
