Sealant

Dearest Crafting Fanatics,

I started painting my (trekking) backpack with acrylic paint and thought I'd seal it with the stuff we have at home. But now I'm not so sure it's the right kind of sealant.

According to the instructions, it will make most types of fabric waterproof (leather, jeans, BACKPACKS). It doesn't say anything about painted fabrics though.

Do any of you know if this is the right stuff for the job? If it's not, can you recommend another product?

Look for a waterproof acrylic paint sealant or a clear fabric paint.

Another idea would be MOD PODGE OUTDOOR. I covered a bike helmet in calico scraps and it has already been left out in the rain. Still looks awesome.
