What to make with old guitar strings?

I recently got new strings for my guitar and decided to keep the old ones so I could make something with them. Any ideas?

I twist two or three together and make them into bracelets and add a guitar pick. My brother looooves them. He owns like four guitars and always sends me the strings to make into jewelry. My friends also made thier own wedding rings with some! They kept the little brass circle things that hold the strings to the guitar and they looked really awesome.

Oh man, those rings sound so cool! Super great idea, imo. Beads would probably work well on the higher strings, though that's probably obvious, lolz. Maybe like, sewing leather scraps together with the wrapped ones would look cool on a journal or something. Or maybe it's possible to weave with them? I'm not sure, lolz, but this topic totally inspired me to buy some new strings off amazon. Just realized I haven't changed them since I bought one of my guitars over five years ago. :x

I concur, guitar strings are great for jewelry making but you should give them a good polishing so no residue comes off on your skin.
I keep my guitar strings like mothers keep baby hair. I wrap a ribbon around the strings and then keep them in a special box, ha ha! I plan to mount them on some nice matte and then set them in a frame one day but I've also been playing with the idea of taking the strings and wrapping them into a wreath. Just be careful when you're making whatever you end up making that the ends of the strings are covered and fastened very tightly. Nothing hurts more then a guitar string cut (believe me). Also look out for it snapping back at you!
I can't wait to see what you make!
