T shirt to ?
I've got two tshirts that have reached the end of their lives (and have shrunk too much in the wash over the years) and I'm trying to think of something fun to turn them into. They were quite fitted to begin with which rules out most of the reconstructions on here, so I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas...or any favourite things to do with dead tshirts in general?
Shirts I really loved I turn into pillows. Or use the design as a patch on other things.
Pillows are a good idea...they're pretty plain so I might have to patchwork them up with something else. Hmmmm....
Or bags? What do these t-shirts look like? Colours? etc etc
Maybe you could turn them into shopping bags :http://www.instructables.com/id/FASTEST-RECYCLED-T-SHIRT-TOTE-BAG/
yup, bags. or doggy shirts
They're just plain, one's black (well it's kind of heading towards grey these days) and the other is navy blue...they're quite fitted v necks...
I like the idea of bags....that link is awesome. I could always stencil something on since they don't have a print.
I make pencil cases. And decorate them with beads, buttons or yarn. I think I have a picture of my pencil case on my profile.
Also you can make a bag to carry your ipod, glasses, to put little things you might lose like jewely, clips, buttons, or stuff like that. Or you can cut them up and make one strapless shirt with them, I actually did that with two tshirts that didn't fit anymore. But I haven't uploaded a howto about that one.
It's really easy, you just make like a band with one frabric for you breasts, and like a tube for your torso, you can make as long as you want or as long as the shirt allows you to, then you just swe them together and voilà!
Well maybe you could pimp them up a bit and give them to maybe a little sister, cousin, neice? I don't know.
Either that or (depending on how smallish they've shrunk) maybe you could turn it into a skirt with patches (of random shapes) with the two colours!!
