BurdaStyle.com is the leading website for FASHION, downloadable OPEN SOURCE PATTERNS, TRENDS and COMMUNITY. We provide a platform for hobby and expert sewers alike to download patterns without copyright, discuss sewing and share tips and tricks.

We are currently holding an OPEN CALL for designs and patterns submissions inspired by the theme of "Summer in the City". The chosen designs will be produced by Burda, one of the leading pattern production companies in the world, and made available with no copyright on our website, as part of the Open-Source movement. I would like to share the details of this contest with your students and faculty, and also introduce them to the website itself. Here they will find a vast resource unlike any other to help them through school and through starting a design business of their own.
