recycled crafts
ive been thinken of doing some recycled crafts i dunno what yet .. for those of u who use stuff around the house what kind of things do you use and what do you use them for?
I reuse glass jars to store things like beads, buttons, paints, anything really.
I use cardboard from cereal boxes to make books and picture frames.
Newspapers to do paper mache. Tons of possibilites really. Hope I've helped in someway!!
you have thanks i never thought of using cereal boxes i have tonz!
anytime! what are you looking to make? i can probably think of a million more things i use around the house, but not at the moment (of course) haha. i'll post if i think of anymore

Let's see....
Cardboard packaging for bookmarks
Magazing bits for collage/decoupage, etc
Old furniture to decoupage or revamp
Old clothes into pet toys or new types of clothes
Plastic medicine bottles for beads or tiny craft items
Food cans for mini plant pots or pencil holders, etc
Fuse Platic Bags for puches, purses, etc
I'm sure there's lots more!! ^.^
are the formula cans the ones that have the lid that you can close again?
if you so, you can cover them in pretty paper and use them for storage! good for storing little toys and crafty things.
i used some shoelaces i had lying around last night, i made a watch strap, a bracelet, and a headband!
kewl! i made some lil storages out of them for my fabric scraps by color.. what about the scoopers in the formula? lol n e one know to make n e thing with those?
You could use the cans for putting cookies/candies in and decorate the outside with some wraping paper or something else christmasy.
On a previous post somewhere else you had said you have a 2 year old girl.. I would save the scoops for digging in the dirt or in the sand box.. my 3 year old this summer, was diging in dirt when ever she got the chance. I saved some cherry pits and let her pretend she was gardening.
Cereal boxes make great magazine holders.. I collage a lot so I find them handy.
Hope that helped
I love this tread, papier ache is grand
I reruse evelopes from all the swaps I get, or make old erasers into stamps
use old dvd's to make coasters
old magazines into tables....
cereal boxes for stencils. not the best for spray paint but still pretty efficient. also, newspaper for pattern pieces. it's free!
i use old jeans to turn into bags, purses, or to mix in with teh other scraps i use to braid into handmade rugs.
I've got a great book called the Crafty Minx and its all about using easy to find second hand or things you already have items like old clothes
and what not. It's for beginners and I just love it I made a purse using an old scarf and old denim shorts I can't fit into anymore lol I'll post a picture
of it too later but the author is Kelly Doust.
I reuse nearly all of the cardboard packaging I get, I have a big plastic storage box full of it. It's good for making into embellishments for cards and scrapbooking too instead of forking out for chipboard ones.
I also keep the acetate bits too.
I use cereal boxes to make hardback notebooks and little hanging signs (got pics in my projects). Round cardboard containers that have held cocoa powder etc I make into pen/brush pots.
You can reuse old game pieces and jigsaws too. Magazines can be made into bowls, collages and stuff.
