any ideas on how to make this dress?

If you haven't had much experience I wouldn't reccomend you do this first off, it's quite intricate, start on some more basic items maybe using a pattern.

buy a corset and 2 long skirts(white and purple) make a split in the purple skirt. whit a petticoat under the long white skirt it looks more like that dress on the drawing. under the corset you can wear a T-Shirt with long sleeves.LoL Without sewing you can make a dress that kinda looks like it 2

If you want to sew it and MAKE it, you should probably start out smarter and work your way up. But if you could find some pieces and not have to sew other than hemming, that would be good too

i think your best bet is to make a white strapless baby doll dress (not that hard) then make a jacket wich would be the purple or blue. you will probably have to find two different pattersn one for the sleaves and one for the actual jacket. then combine the two. this is a huge project. and it will take at least a month to make. and of cousre you'll need a pettie coat or under skirt.
if your serious about doing this (and i really recomend that you try doing something esier for the first time)

you could do something like this for the sleaves,
you would have to make your own white lace insert in the sleave, if your going to school. then your teacher can help you with that.

the jacke might need to be disected again, i would actally use a long trench coat pattern and a vest pattern. but i've been sewing for 10 years. THIS IS HARD! good luck! ^^
