Jeans Are Too Big

My mother bought me a pair of jeans. They are too big in the stomach, ass area. It's like I have a big pouch! They fit fine on the legs.
Does anyone have any advice on an easy way to make them fit me? I just don't want to mess them up!

Yes I know to take them in at the seams, it's the HOW that bothers me, the waistband is there..

Thats a great how to, but doesn't help me, as I need to make the waist smaller.
I don't know wether I will bother, it just seems too awkward. I'll probably fudge it up.

you could turn them inside out and then pinch the waist in a couple of places (i suggest both sides, and then two equal spaces in the back as well) and sew them there? i'm not sure if it'd work out so much but you could try it, if you wouldn't wear the jeans anyway? you're not losing out...

That sounds the best way Roma. The size is so bad on them! Unless my body is just badly proportioned! They are size 10, I am a 10, they fit like a 12 though in the waist and crotch area!
They just slip off my ass haha
