How did you find CO+K and why did you join?
When I joined CO+K over 5 years ago, I was looking for a site that had sewing tutorials. Just on google, literally typing in 'sewing tutorials' and it came up and I immeadiately loved it! As a keen seamstress I wanted to learn some tricks and new skills to improve my sewing skills.
What projects are you currently working on?
Unfortunately, I think I have about 20 projects in the works at the moment. I just don't seem to have the time to dedicate to any of them. I seem to have the terrible crafting habit of trying to start a new craft which will take 5 hours to make in the space of 1, not very smart really. The most recent project is a dungaress made from old jeans...

I have always been drawn to the post war era and the glamourous women with their hair pinned up, bright red lips and of course, the pearls. That being said, I find an overly polished look can be too much for everyday wear which is why I’ve added a few rocker chic pieces. The leather bag, red heels and skinny jeans modernize the look while the studded coat, reverse French nail and the skeleton shirt add a feistiness. The best part is how most of these things can already be found in your closet or craft box so you can create the look yourself, just add your own touch and voila!

Make Yourself at Home
We chat to Moorea, give you a chance to win the book and learn how-to make a Marbled Leather Mouse Pad!
Hey there! My name is Moorea Seal and I own a company with the same name :) I have an online retail site mooreaseal.com where we feature over 160 designers who are either handmade makers or focus in sustainable fashion/ethical sourcing. We donate 7% of all proceeds to non-profits. I also own a storefront in downtown Seattle, WA! It's a beautiful new space that we just finished building out less than a month ago! I have also been a jewelry designer for 8 years now! And my favorite thing of all, I am an author. I published The 52 Lists Project just 2 years ago and it’s gone on to be featured on Oprah and is currently being translated into 9 different languages! My second book 52 Lists for Happiness came out a year ago and has been been just as successful. And my new book Make Yourself at Home just came out in September! I deeply believe in empowering others through all that I do and my books are a huge part of that mission. In my latest book, I encourage readers to contemplate what it is that they truly desire within themselves to feel well and joyful, and through that self exploration, translate that vision in a home decor vision. If you can't feel at home in your space, it's hard to feel at home in yourself. And I want my new book to be your best friend in discovering just what you need to feel fully you in your home.
Recreate the look of Taylor Momsen from The Pretty Reckless in #DIYTheLook with FallenBeyond.
I love rocking out to The Pretty Reckless when I’m just getting started with my day or in need of some musical hype. Aside from her mature voice, I always liked Taylor’s edgy stage outfits with tight clothing and long socks or boots paired with some sort of leather jacket. This outfit was made using her general style of clothing with a zombie necklace in reference to her song “Zombie”, and of course, her iconic heavy smoky eye.
