Dying white polyester curtains a fun pastel colour using the washing machine
Polyester is a difficult fabric to dye, so you will need to use a lot of dye and it will come out a pastel colour.
If you are after a darker or brighter shade this method won't work with 100% polyester fabric.

This method does work for blends and natural fabrics, however these take dye better and the dye will come out bright, NOT pastel!

    Take your curtains and trim off any tags or labels. Make sure they are unfolded and lose. Place in your machine.

    Turn your machine on to it's hottest and longest cycle.

    I chose to use iDye Poly pink.

    Empty the dye (all packets) into the machine when the fabric is completely covered in water.
    Give it a stir with a stick to make sure it's spread around evenly.

    Wait for your cycle to end. Your curtains should come out a nice pastel shade.
    Dry them completely before hanging.

    Make sure you clean your machine before washing any clothes!
