Our favorite artists, illustrators & comic book authors discuss their work and show us their take on our crafty supehero, Crafterella

San Kelly is a professional Illustrator residing in Decatur, Georgia. Her background is in commercial illustration and design, and she earned a BA in Illustration and Design from the Art Institute of Atlanta. Her art style is inspired by her interest in children’s literature, animation, vintage design and all things whimsical and cute. When San isn't drawing, she enjoys running, photography and chasing her baby girl, Autumn, and chihuahua, Pixie, around the house.

I'm an often confused illustrator who loves spending my time being all curled up in my well watching cartoons, reading children books & comics whenever I'm not creating characters and pictures.

I grew up south of Boston, graduated from Syracuse University and worked in animation and as an art director before finding my happy home as a writer and illustrator of children's books.
I live, work, and raise my family on the seacoast of New Hampshire where pine trees are the tallest obstacles to the sea.
My top sports are table tennis, crochet, tea-making, and not-vacuuming.

I'm an artist and writer. I've been working as a children's illustrator for over ten years, and am the author and illustrator of the picture book MONSTERS VS. KITTENS. I also draw comics and am the creator of the webcomic MY SISTER THE FREAK.

I'm a cartoonist from Glasgow, and I run Team Girl Comic, a collective for women comic artists from all around Scotland.

I make a lot of wildlife-themed comics and in 2014 my short graphic novel 'The Beginner's Guide to Being Outside' was nominated for a British Comic Award. I also create humour comics with Adam J Smith as well as various other projects.

Comic writer and illustrator based in Hebden Bridge, UK. Creator of Flimsy the Kitten, House Party, The Rabbit, Artificial Flowers, and Bess. Draws comics for Doctor Who.

I'm from Houston, Texas and moved out to Los Angeles for college, and I have been living here since. I work at an animation studio called Wild Canary, where I get to design cute aliens and travel the universe on a scifi adventure show. In my spare time, I like to go sketching, paint with my plein air group, dancing, trying new restaurants, and taking naps. I'm really good at naps.

Rob Reger is the founder, creative director, and president of Cosmic Debris - a design house based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Reger and Cosmic introduced the world to Emily the Strange, now an international icon for empowering young alternative girls (and people of all ages). Reger has been designing Emily and her cats for over two decades and has generated millions of fans of the character. Reger co-authored and co-illustrated four Harper Collins novels, and has been a primary writer for the Emily the Strange comic books and graphic novels published by Dark Horse Comics.

Reger received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the San Francisco Art Institute and his oil paintings, printmaking, watercolors, and collage have exhibited in galleries around the world, including: Tokyo, Paris, Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, Berlin, Milan, Hong Kong, Sydney, and Portland, Oregon.

Mica Angela Hendricks was born ages ago into the traveling circus of military life, and has been fortunate enough to have seen a decent chunk of the world as a result. At a young age, she developed a sort of Darwinian added appendage, as her sketchbook rarely left her hands. People who didn’t take the time to get to know her simply called her “that girl that draws.” She now travels all over the world with her husband (who is in the military), and spends a lot of time creating artwork with their creative 7-year-old daughter, Myla. Mica works primarily in ballpoint pen and acrylics.

Lisa is UK based game artist working remotely for a company in San Francisco and London. She is also the creator of House of the Rising Bun, a whimsical slice of life animated webcomic featuring Loof the loaf and Timmy T-Rex.
