DIY The Look

Recreate the look of Rachel Zoe in #DIYTheLook with Bridgett from Born Again Vintage.

Rachel Zoe is casually stylish. She has the ability to put together simply stylish pieces to create a storyboard of fashion elegance.

Recreate the look of Grimes in #DIYTheLook with Leanashe23.

I have included a mix of clothes, makeup and jewellery... I have also included a DIY sketchbook - because Grimes does all her own album artwork - so I think she would always carry a sketchbook around with her!

#DIYTheLook of Demi Lovato with Jessica Mix:

I love Demi Lovato songs and especially her first ones and her rock style that can be recreated with a classic black smokey eyes and a dark outfit based on a black jacket, leggings and high heels with details as studds,to rock her music on stage!

Emma recreates the costume of Dr Jillian Holtzmann from Ghostbusters for #DIYTheLook

I love Dr Jillian Holtzmann's style because she doesn't obey any rules; mixing materials, colours and styles. She doesn't care if she is wearing odd socks or has paint all over her overalls. Her look can go from grungy engineer to quirky Victorian mad scientist. I love her use of silk scarves tied as ties and her cool round sunglasses. Her look is fashionable but also utility; perfect for busting those ghost!

Susan creates a gorgeous pretty in pink outfit for today's #DIYTheLook

I loved this film as a teenager and it's the one that got me into altering and adapting clothes and making jewellery. I loved the individuality and re-purposing of things to create new looks from things at hand. It's all about the prom, re-styling clothes and of course the accessories!

Libby recreates the style of adorable Japanese idol band Babymetal for #DIYTheLook

I wasn't that sure about Babymetal when I first came across them, but after I watched the BBC documentary on them I was won over. They have such energy on stage and their shows look amazing. Their stage and video outfits are gorgeous, I love how they mix the traditional Japanese masks and robes with the gothic lolita style. If I need a pick-me-up I watch 'Gimme chocolate' on youtube and I can't help but smile.

Second Hand Susie recreates the style of a Beatles fangirl for #DIYTheLook

I've always loved The Beatles' music and their style, give me jangly guitars, yellow submarines and flowers in my hair and I a happy girl! The Beatles' sixties style was all about kimonos, huge flares, hippy beads and beautiful, crazy, colour clashing outfits. And don't forget the peace and love, man!

Mademoiselle Ruta recreates the style of Taylor Swift for #DIYTheLook

I've always loved Taylor's style because she constantly looks put together (even at the beach or going to the gym), which in my books is a major goal when it comes to any outfit. I have yet to see a candid photo of her where she looks anything but amazing. I especially like how she pairs a classic hair/makeup style with all of her ensembles, never looking over the top. Plus, even though her style continues to change over the years, she never let's go of her red lip, proving that a classic look never goes out of style.

Samjane creates a romantic themed outfit for today's #DIYTheLook

I went with a 'romantic theme' I'm working on a new book of knit patterns with the same theme, so I'm a bit stuck theme wise these days ;) plus it's spring, the flowers are blooming and the weather is perfect! I love the long flowing skirt with the snuggly sweater and fitted tank. Flowers and glitter are just a given!

Kacie from Elements of Ellis recreates the style of Kendall Jenner for #DIYTheLook

Kendal Jenner always looks fresh and effortless. She can make even the simplest outfits look amazing.
