okay, then translate these sentences in german:

example:
My name is Liny
Ich heiße Liny.

i m 17 years old.
Ich bin siebzehn Jahre alt.

i m from karlsruhe, that s in germany.
Ich komme aus Karlsruhe, das ist in Deutschland.

i like to go out with my friends.
Ich mache gerne etwas mit meinen Freunden.

and a little bit grammar:
this is really hard to learn and so it isn t bad, if you make it wrong.
in germany we ve got three articles:
der, die das.
der= male
die= female
das= object

for example:
das Auto (the car) - der Bus (the bus) - die Straßenbahn (the tram/ streetcar)
das Schwein (the pig) - der Hahn (the cock) - die Schlange (the snake)
das Kind (the child) - der Vater (the father) - die Mutter (the mother)

the word after the article, you always write big...

in the video they say ß wrong:
the normal german S is like the Z in zero, and the ss or ß is like the english S, but the diffrent is, that the letter for the ß long is and for the ss is the letter really short,.. so its speaking like grooooooosvater (grandfather) and the s is the normal english S... yes... german is a bit difficult ^^

situation: Tobias and Andra met Birte at the street. Tobias is new at Heidelberg. he s from Berlin and Birte doesn t know him yet.

Tobias: "Tobias Müller"
Andra: "Mein Name ist Andra Meißner."
Birte: "Tobias ist neu hier, Andra"
Tobias: "Ja, ich komme aus Berlin."

yes, it has got some simple dialogues in it and pretty easy vocabluarys.
it was for the first time when i had to learn english at school.
okay, if you like, i ll translate the english texts in german and give them to you. and then you try to translate them in english. i ll correct them and you have to learn the vocabluaries. if you don t know how german sounds like, you can have a look on this page: www.dict.cc .
