I am a self-taught artisan and have been using gourds as a medium for the past 10 years. I love to pyro-engrave, carve and recess carve with inlays.. I have en...tered my work in the North Carolina Gourd Show, Florida Gourd Show, Annual Gourd Artisans' Gathering in Cherokee, North Carolina . I find myself totally enthralled in my work and am in my own little world and am amazed at seeing a rough ugly gourd transformed into a beautiful piece of artwork. Every piece of the gourd is utilized and I make bookmarks, luminaries, ornaments, wind chimes, jewelry, bowls and any other items I am inspired to create. I also do other art and have done art and craft shows alike since I was 15. I put my heart and soul in all that I do and each piece I sell I consider it a piece of art in its own unique way. From the tiniest of bookmarks to the leather aprons I make.. ღღღ
