TV Presenter and Stylist Sophie Prescott aka DiY Blonde®, specialises in all things Upcycling, Craft & Home Interiors. You will most likely see her with a glue gun in hand and covered in glitter! With a background in television presenting and Sophie’s passion for Upcycling and Interiors, she has now combined all these things to become a TV Expert and is featured regularly on ITV’s This Morning with Holly & Phillip as their Craft Expert and most recently featured as a Pro Crafter in Kirstie’s Celebrity Craft Masters recently on Channel 4.
Previously Sophie gained a wealth of experience when she worked for top Interiors title Your Home Magazine as a staff Journalist and Shoot Assistant. Whilst at Your Home, Sophie also wrote in-depth articles on the latest interior styles, property development and home decorating advice. Naturally this led Sophie to branch out to create her own blog DiY Blonde®. DiY Blonde® is a colourful and funky brand, mixing Upcycling, Craft and Interiors together to give the homeowner the opportunity to put their creative input on their homes, but without breaking the bank. It is Sophie’s mission to loose the ‘mumsy’ tag on Crafting and to encourage a younger generation to ‘make’ before they ‘buy’ or at least recycle where they can. In 2019-2020, Sophie is starting to push herself with her Upcycling projects and wants to go bigger and better. Her next project is to Upcycle an old fair ground ride into something useful for the home – so watch this space! Sophie’s work also consists of designing creative content for numerous companies, running her social channels as a creative Influencer and working as a Craft & Interior Styling.
