I am into crochet right now. I also paint, quilt, sew, and have a couch full of rag dolls that I made. I have made doilies, afghans, shawls, poncho's, towels, dishcloths, potholders, and may other things. I just finished a library table runner in filet crochet. It took me 2 years to finish since it's done in thread and my eyes ain't what they used to be. I could only do a couple rows at a time. I like the filet crochet and working with thread. I made an afghan in filet that is dragon flies. It is done in yarn.
I prefer crochet to knitting because it is so much faster and at my age faster is better.
I have 2 sons and 2 granddaughters and a wonderful daughter-in-law. She is the one who will get my special pieces that I do.
I work for a daycare. My kids are from 2-12 in age. I have taught some of them to finger knit and a couple how to crochet. If we don't pass the arts down, they will be lost.
