About

Well, I shipped off to basic training just 3 days after graduating from High School. I've been in the Army for just about FOURTEEN years now. Where has the time truly gone?...been to Afghanistan for about 22 months and I finished 14 months in Iraq in November of 2007. Ive been fortunate enough to be able to jump from planes for a living and I thank my lucky stars every day I do it safely. I have a son, Winston, who's seven. I also have a little girl, Hannah-Jane, whose about 3 and a half. Lifes been treating me well here in the Army. I've worked with many great guys in the Infantry and I have great support from my family. About two years ago, I finished a little break from the grunt life and paratrooper life while I served as a Drill Sergeant at Fort Sill, Oklahoma for two years. The hours were incredible. About 110 hours a week...but training today's Soldiers was a privilege and very rewarding. I'm back to the regular Army now..living the Platoon Sergeant's life with 10th Mountain Division. Another year of fun awaits as I get ready for a late summer deployment (number 4).
