My sewing interests change from day to day – vintage, mod, gym gear, work wear, jeans, lingerie, movie-influenced. You name it and I’ve probably tried to sew it.
I love costumes and style icons to add an edge to what I sew. There’s no way I would consider myself in their category of achievement.
Not everything works right the first time, or the second time and sometimes what was a good idea at the time, in reality became an eye sore. What I do enjoy is pushing the boundaries when I sew. Not all the time.
At the end of the day, ‘it’s just fabric’ and there’s always more to life than that. But fabric and sewing is at the top of my list of things I love.
