About

My Mom taught me to sew and cook and take care of plants when I was young.I grew up shopping at thrift stores and yard sales. I am 32 now and going to school for horticultre. My dream business will be a dress shop with a plant store as well.

I love vintage, cooking, fabric, gardening, sewing, animals, tattoos, and the whole new DIY movement that is coming back. I love the ideas of punk rockers doing old lady stuff!

Hey thanx, I think your cool too. I need to actually make a project. I really really want to learn to sew. I wish my mom knew cool stuff like that. The coolest thing about my mom is that she was in an all girl "club" in the 50's called Las Chocolates (the chocolates). They had matching brown shirts with their insignia on them (apparently they had made and not made themselves). The school principle said they had to break up their "gang" or else. My mom said they had no idea they were a gang and they felt much cooler afterwards. Oh she wore a beehive which I also think is cool. But she never really had a hand with a needle and thread. Too bad for me. She did teach me her beehiving skills though. Maybe that will be my first tutorial.
