Matt took this of us at the top of the Sears tower. I was 6 months pregnant with Annika at the time.

It might be confusing that my husband's last name is Bell. No, we are not one of those couples who decided to take on the wife's last name. We actually had the same last name when we married! Can you believe it? And we didn't even meet standing in line or something that would put us in alphabetical order. We met at church... a very large church with lots of singles so Matt (as his story goes) was trying to figure out a way for us to meet after seeing me for months...and, clearly, he figured out a way. Thank you, Lord! We celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary in 2011. And, by the way, our last names have completely different origins. Matt's is a Russian-Jewish name that was shortened to Bell when his grandfather came over. My side is of Scottish/English origin and came over with some of the earliest Puritan settlers. So we weren't too worried about being distantly related but we always laugh at the "met-at-the-family-reunion" jokes.
