Retired Licensed Mental Health and Substance Abuse therapist. Now have time to use the skills my Czech grandma taught me. Amazing to me that it took me only a few practice sessions to start being able to do pretty darn good crochet -- even if I do say so myself. So far have invented and made coats for my Italian Greyhound, stacks of various styles of granny squares in #3 crochet thread for "who knows what it will be after I put them together?" Have not set up my sewing machine yet, because I am moving in a month, but intend to get back into sewing. I used to make a lot of costumes for SCA folk. Glad to be here with you all.
