I have been married to my best friend, Carlos (we met in high school when he moved to Duluth) for over 10 years. We have two girls: creative and energetic Isabella, we call her Bella, age 8 and spunky and inquisitive Elena, age 4.5, who is always into something. I taught music (and a little Middle Grades Math) for 10+ years, teaching middle school chorus, band, private flute lessons, Kindermusik, and elementary general music. For the past three years I have been fortunate to have the ability to stay home for my girls. It took some time to get use to being a mom, but it is absolutely the best thing I ever did, and it gets better everyday, never a dull moment.
