1990 At young age of 13 I was victim of hit 'n' run 14yr old "joyriders" this took away my life and i became long term hospital patient and still ongoing having complex surgical procedures to rebuild my legs, knees hips etc learning to walk every time due to my last operation Oct 2013 I am now disabled with Chronic pain disease and Chronic fatigue Syndrome Severe Anxiety and Depression I have had to battle even losing my brother (27yr old) my sons born with life threating illnesses my best friend whom grew up with passed (29yrs) I have worked Palliative Care Nurse such a rewarding role 10yrs and letter last week states my position is no longer mine.Even though whilst off all my training certificates done to date Knowin I want and backed by doctors once meds correct I can work I sat and watched my dad slippin away Fear hit and my dad died screams and me holdin him down "Haunting" My stepdad now sadly on that path..I have challenged more achieved mountain events 50 mile cycle Ambassador Nurse Of Year Raised nearly £6000!!! Still tryin and Aiming for Higher hope to get back helping others ...☆ So many in the world, struggling, far worse than me.. To see a smile on my arrival ...Makes it all worth while..☆
