How did you find CO+K and why did you join?

I think I found Cut Out + Keep a few years ago when I was looking up tutorials for fascinators. I joined the site because I liked how there was a template in place for sharing Tutorials. Following the template made it a lot easier for me to put everything together (crafty training wheels).

What projects are you currently working on?

Currently I am working on a pumpkin head mask that was commissioned by a woman that I met at a local Halloween festival and a Mary Engelbreit inspired bat costume that I've named "Fancy Bat".

What does your craft space look like?

My basement studio looks like a messy storage unit. My daughter didn't like me being away in the basement so much though so most of the time I work in the dining room. I just move supplies between the two rooms depending on what I working on. Which tool or craft supply do you use the most?

My sewing machines and serger get a lot of love. I don't just sew fabric though. I also sew a lot of paper, but I'll sew just about anything that I can fit through the machine.

What do you craft along to?

Movies are vital during crafty times. I like cartoons and horror movies. Adventure Time is amazing and they need to bring back The Mighty Bee.

Favorite Craft

I love sewing. I like to make practical things and home items like curtains and pillows, but most of all, I love making costumes. I like to create characters and then bring them to life in costumes.

If you could learn one new craft or make anything, what would it be?

I would love to learn something big like weaving or millinery.

Who are your crafting heroes?

My crafting heroes are: Tif Fussell, Brittany Jepsen, and Jordan Ferney. Tif Fussel makes amazing vignettes. Brittany Jepsen is a magnificent paper artist and Jordan Ferney provided the tutorials that made up most of my wedding decorations.
