About
I’m 5’ 3 ¼” tall. I had always hoped to be taller, but I’m pretty sure that won’t happen now. I have a collapsible stool I use, or jump, to reach things that are “high up” which happens frequently.
My best feature is my eyes, they are an almond shape I guess you’d say and they change colors – ranging from brown to gray to green to blue or any mix of the above. Just depends on the day.
I love all things girly: jewelry, accessories, doing my hair and makeup, and especially dresses and high heels. I don’t think I could live without high heels.
I enjoy both cooking and eating food, if it has anything to do with spices or blue cheese count me in! I love anything Thai or Indian, bbq, Chicken lips, and pickles. When it comes to food I’ll try about anything once.
I try to run 3-6 miles a day, 5 times a week. I always hate running when I start and sometimes need some serious motivation, but once I get going I love the way I feel physically and how it clears my mind.
Some people would tell you that I am a workaholic. I suppose that is true. I just don’t like to be “idle” and have to be constantly engaged in something, and work is a great way to do that. Plus then I get paid to occupy my time.
Some words to describe me: loyal, trustworthy, spontaneous, independent, generous, bubbly, shy, kind, hardworking, free spirited, laid back, analytical.
One of my biggest flaws is that I care too much, I will always put other people’s needs before my own and I wish I could fix everyone’s problems. Another flaw is my insecurity, I always fret about not meeting people’s expectations, I once turned down a modeling contract because I thought I wasn’t pretty enough.
I don’t go out of my way to meet people, mainly because I am shy. But I love meeting new people in all walks of life. The characteristic I value most in others would definitely be honesty, I can work around everything else.
I am slow to trust people, because so many people have proven to me personally that they are untrustworthy and because history is full of horrible things, holocaust and genocide, all brought on by other human beings who were trusted by their followers and friends.
Art is one of my passions. I love all forms of it: sculpture, painting, history, photography, digital art, drawing, etching, “body art”, etc. And even if I don’t love a particular piece of art (like anything by Rothko or Andy Warhol) I can still appreciate it and all of the imagination that went into creating it. I love Salvador Dali and Heironymous Bosch.
Service is another of my passions. I find such a deep sense of happiness and purpose in helping others. I have found that often the best way to improve your own life is by improving the life of someone else. Some of my fondest moments were building a house for a homeless family in Juarez, Mexico or running arts and crafts at a summer camp for children in Peja, Kosova.
I’m a Virgo for those of you that rely on astrological signs, and from what I’ve read most of the traits of a Virgo are pretty accurate in describing me.
I wear my heart on my sleeve.
I appreciate the “little things” in life. Sometimes it really doesn’t take much to get me excited. And when it comes to showing me you care, the best way is to be thoughtful. I’d rather have a surprise note hidden in a drawer you know that I will open than a million dollars. Although I do love presents too. What girl doesn’t love gifts. But it is the thought that counts, every time. Just that much better if you’re thinking happens to be something I would really enjoy.
I love to laugh, although my humor is sometimes very “tongue-in-check”, I never mean to offend anyone though. I will also be the first person to laugh at myself when I do something silly, like fall. Which happens every so often because I am a bit clumsy. I’ve also been told that my laughter is pretty contagious, so be forewarned.
I’m terrified of heights and bugs, especially spiders. I went zip lining for my birthday in 2011, so I did face my fear and almost hyperventilated doing it. I am still afraid of heights, even small ones. And I am so terrified of spiders I refuse to kill them, I just stare them down till someone else comes to “handle it” for me.
Some of my favorite things: purple Skittles, bacon, hiking or “nature walks”, hot wings (preferably boneless), blue cheese, having someone serenade me unexpectedly, fried pickles, running, horror movies, a warm bubble bath, thoughtful surprises, high heels, sour gummy worms, bbq ribs, the smell of freshly cleaned laundry, kissing, pickles, tattoos, sleeping in, dancing, playing “dress up”, makeup, cuddling, relaxing with friends, pedicures, massages, cooking, laughing, music, swimming, art, wrestling/play fighting, roadtrips, cuddling, ethnic foods…
Some of my least favorite things: cheaters, asparagus, people who drive slow in the fast lane, lies, liars, when someone clicks their pen or taps it on the desk repeatedly in a quiet room, peas, double standards, doing dishes, dishonesty, betrayal, snow, hair scrunchies, body hair, sunburns, stubbing your toe in the dark, spiders, bugs, heights, spice or food scented candles, gum “cracking”, insomnia, banana flavored candies, fire…
If you haven’t learned enough about me from reading this, feel free to ask… I just might answer.
