About
I'm laid back(from a beach town and so easy going that it borders on lazy), introverted, and eclectic. I tend towards alternative interests but just cannot fit into the awesome Gothic clothing anymore. I'm married with a teenage son who also is pretty chill. I'm not really religious, but any interests I have revolve around Buddhism.
I listen to a lot of Nine Inch Nails and stay current on the Gothic/industrial music bands. I'm 40 and refuse to conform...but I'm simply not as outwardly alternative as I used to be. At my age, it's more who I am inside and my beliefs that are open minded.
I am into urban gardening/backyard gardening, I'm frugal so I do a lot of cheap things like browsing thrift stores (which I have done all my life), love the dollar theaters, cooking, farmers markets, crafting and art. I am a serious photographer that works with alternative cameras such as the Holga and toy cams (Google it).
I'm not a girly girl...but I'm not a tom boy either. Let's just say my ideal weekend day out would NOT be getting my nails and hair done. It might be more like visiting a farmer's market, some thrift-whoring(visiting thrift stores), working in my own garden, seeing a cheap dollar movie, going to have tea, or crafting, browsing antique stores, or cooking something new(I collect cookbooks for the stories and history as well as the recipes) A cookbook is interactive armchair traveling.
FYI, it's also Halloween for me alllll year long...as can be seen by the bones, morbid decor, and other oddness around my bedroom year round. I have to contain it to one part of the house you see, or risk driving my family crazy.
I'm not a party girl and never really was. I'm a bit of a home body. I'm got a little chubbiness to me but hey, who doesn't. So lets say I'm rubenesque. Haha. I'm into fantasy and sci-fi though I lean more towards fantasy interests. I'm the sort that salivated when the Lord of the Rings movies came out. I go to Ren Faires, and try to go to San Diego's comicon when I can and completely geek out. I used to read a lot of comics like Wolverine and other X-men titles. I used to be a voracious reader of fantasy novels and now I am more a supernatural romance reader. LOL
I also watch Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures, and other paranormal shows. I have tarot cards and know how to use them though I admit I still depend on the books for meanings. I also love the TV show American Pickers. And don't get me going on psychological horror and especially non gory Japanese Horror. Love, love, love. I can definitely chill in front of the telly watching my favorite shows on a weekend night.
I'm not looking for anything but friendships. I'm quite happily married.
Oh yes, I love Marmite. LOL
