My name is Maria and I am the thinking head inside Deshilachado (www.deshilachado.com) , where I share my passion for art and crafts, specially neddlecrafts (word that sounds antique but that I reclaim without complexes). My studio is my paradise on earth, where fabrics, wools, embroidery and sewing threads mix happily. Hence the name of my blog, apart from a tribute to "Desafinado", the wonderful Jobim and Mendoça song.

I adore embroidering, what I have dedicated since I was a little girl, and patchwork, which came to my life fifteen years ago. Besides blogger and crafter I love teaching. Thus was born The Crafty Room (http://www.thecraftyroom.com/), where I hold workshops with some other wonderful teachers of whom I learn something new every day.
