I was born near NYC- it is one of two places I ever feel at home, the other being Cedar City, Utah, where I received my B.A, where Brooklyn was born, and now where we live again (yay!)

I finished my M.A. in 2009; I was going full-time while teaching freshman comp and working in the eCreate technology lab for the English Dept., all while still being a (mostly) available mom. After that, I know I can accomplish anything.

So, now I'm a single mom of a teen and two dogs, teaching 4 sections of composition and starting my life over in spite of my best efforts- and because of them.

I'm truly happy in spite of my trials; I've had one after the other lately and found that they've helped me get closer to God and closer to my own perfect self- it's hard to complain about that, although I do it anyway.
