About
I have been a crafter / DIY'er since I was little, I come from an extremely talented family. I'm probably one of the least talented. It's most likely from the lack of using what I am capable of... I have lots of thoughts and great ideas but to get them to fruition is another story. I love to collect patterns, I probably have close to about 700 or so right now and I'm thinking of starting a vintage collection. I can sew, crochet { some what ~ I need to learn how to read patterns }, cross stitch, scrapbook, paint, make dolls { cloth }, I've done some floral work { I know I am forgetting things }. I'd like to learn to knit, tat { probably spelled wrong }, felt, make better tutus {than I do}, oh there is tons of stuff I want to learn, photography, painting, drawing, pottery and tons more!
I am in the process of attempting to start up business / blog with my childhood friend { we've been friends since we were four }. A sewing / crafting , recipe, tips site like you see lots of... We are having trouble finding a name that isn't already taken and one that isn't to specific to just one craft. That's what is holding up our entire process. It's pretty aggravating! I live in Texas and she lives in New York where we both grew up. We are so excited about this "adventure" { what we call it } together.
I've been married for 15 years to a very great guy! He spoils me! I'm very lucky to have him. He is retired military so I guess that makes me a retired military wife! It was fun travelling and moving around { of course we don't have children, I was never able } so that's probably why I enjoyed it so much. I actually miss it, he doesn't! Don't get me wrong, it's been nice to actually buy our house and settle down BUT <---- { big BUT } it's been so hard to make friends. I'm not a Grinch or anything, no No Hermit here, ok! It's weird here if you don't work with or didn't go to school with you aren't allowed in the circles. It STINKS! And of course... There is the whole white / Hispanic thing as well going on here and since my husband is Mexican and I am white it's a mortal sin! Ha Ha! I can't believe it still exists today.... So yes I get shunned pretty bad! 4 years and not a single friend to be had yet!
I a pretty easy to please person... I like the simple things in life... That first cup of coffee in the morning, the sound of laughter or the way your belly hurts so bad when you laugh really really hard, the beautiful stars in the night sky, the full moon, the way dew glistens on a blade of grass, simple things....

- commented on her comment I love Breakfast at Tiffany's and I LOVE the dress Audrey Hepburn wore. It's such an iconic beautiful piece and I would so love to make it for myself. to Sew Iconic 26 Jun 15:06
