When did you first start sewing and how did you learn?
The end of 2007, just before I went into grade eight! My mum used to sew as well, so she taught me on her machine. I like to just teach myself as I go though.
Can you remember the first thing you made?
Yes! A pencil case for school. My sister always made one at the start of each year so I decided to follow in her footsteps.
Do you have any favourite pattern designers or celebrity sewers?
Not really, to be honest I normally make patterns up as I go, I don't normally follow one that somebody else has made.
What's your sewing room like and how do you organize your stash?
Cramped! I just do my sewing in my bedroom on my desk, so it can get pretty crowded at times. I'm actually helping renovate our old store room into a sewing room at the moment though, which I am oh so excited for!
What music/podcasts/TV shows do you love to stitch along to?
I normally just put my iTunes on shuffle when I'm sewing to keep me company! Anything upbeat to keep me going!
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
Definitely! I crochet, and have recently gotten into doing Amigurumi. I also embroider and do random little crafts here and there.
Apart from crafts, I write poetry and am also teaching myself astronomy!
