When did you first get in to cooking and do you remember the first recipe you tried?
My mum let my sisters and I explore the kitchen from an early age. She always cooked from scratch and often baked with us. I picked up her sweet tooth and would bake cakes with my sisters - often using all the food colourings to make multicoloured marble sponge cakes.
What's your kitchen like and how do you keep organized when cooking?
After years of small kitchens finally a couple of years ago I designed my own kitchen and had it built. Large surfaces with space to spread out and cook make such a difference.
I often have a bowl for cooking scraps on the surface to save constant trips to the food waste bin. I load the dishwasher as I go and try to stay on top of the washing up while I work as a mountain at the end just makes you want to run away from the kitchen.
What tips would you give to someone wanting to become a better cook?
Watch others cook and ask for tips when you see them doing something you would like to improve on. Have confidence to just give a recipe a go at home - like any thing else the more you do something the better you get.
Who would you invite to your dream dinner party and what would you cook for them?
All my close friends and David Attenborough he has led a fascinating life and I think he would be the most fantastic company. When I invite people for dinner I like to do a huge spread of picky sharing food - there is nothing nicer than trying lots of news dishes with friends.
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I love using my hands to make things. I am looking into a pottery class at the moment. I studied photography so have reels of imagery, and can often be found crafting with my two daughters.
Which cooking blogs do you love to read?
I tend to find new ones all the time via Instagram. I screen grab recipes and websites through out the day then when I have a little down time in the evening I go back and read things and get inspired.
