When did you first get in to cooking and do you remember the first recipe you tried?
All began at late summer in 2011. I've realized that I have no idea of cooking and baking. I'd like to change that. Since that time I'd love to be in my kitchen, baking and experimenting.
What's your kitchen like and how do you keep organized when cooking?
Keep organized? It's every time a little chaos :D I bake in a medium sized kitchen with a kitchenette and a working table in the middle of the room. That's the place where I throw flour, butter, chocolate etc around. Normally I first measure out all ingredients I need. Only then I start to prepare the dough. Thus there are all things at hand, when I need them.
What tips would you give to someone wanting to become a better cook?
Don't give up! It sometimes happens that a recipe doesn't work or a dish doesn't taste as you want or envision.
Try to not cook or bake always the same recipes. There are so many ingredients and combinations to experiment with! You can learn much from that.
Who would you invite to your dream dinner party and what would you cook for them?
My dream dinner party would be a dream party at coffee-time. All my friends and family would visiting. I love to have them all around me. I would bake different cakes, like the classic German black forest cake, some pastries and cupcakes. And everybody would get a little homemade gift when going home.
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
No, unfortunately I had no time to do any other crafts. In my spare time I love to meet my friends. Besides I do sports like Zumba or jogging and I like to read.
Which cooking blogs do you love to read?
Oh so many! There are so many adorable food blogs out there! For example bakers royale and smitten kitchen or the German food blogs Frau Herzblut and Foodlovin'.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
Thanks for being a Cooking Superstar here for one week!
