When did you first start making jewelry and how did you learn?

We once had this fest at college and a bunch of us put up a jewelry stall, which turned out to be a big success. That was when I first learnt to make jewelry. Professionally I have been making jewelry under my brand 'Sayuri' for the last 5 years.

Can you remember the first piece you made?

It was a simple bead necklace made with chunky wooden beads

Where do you look for inspiration?

The materials that I use are my main inspiration, color comes a close second. If I am doing a conceptual collection, it mostly revolves around themes from nature or Indian tradition. Then there is Pinterest obviously.

What's your craft space like and how do you organize your supplies?

I dont have a dedicated studio set up, so my table and my couch sees most of the action. I use metal or acrylic spice boxes to organize all my beads and spacers

What music/podcasts/TV shows do you love to craft along to?

I watch a lot of TV, its always playing in the background while I work.

Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?

I do paper craft, love painting (mixed media kitsch art) and even design home decor items. I love photography, dancing and I read a lot.

Is there anything else you'd like to add?

when the going gets tough (like it usually does) only the tough get going.
