When did you first get in to cooking and do you remember the first recipe you tried?
My mom loved to cook and bake therefore I inherited the same passion for cooking ever since I was a child. My first recipes I’ve tried as a child was related to baking, like making cakes and cookies.
What's your kitchen like and how do you keep organized when cooking?
My kitchen is not too big and it’s pretty hard to keep all organized. As a blogger I have a lot of various ingredients that I use, therefore I started to organize them in clear glass straight sided jars, and some of them which are more used are standing on my countertop. This makes my work a lot easier. Also the light plays an important role into my kitchen.. I have few separate light sources that I combine to create a cozy atmosphere. Me and my family are spending a good amount of time in the kitchen. There is such a nice feeling to see my daughters sitting at the table expecting me to take out from the oven something delicious
What tips would you give to someone wanting to become a better cook?
To never stop cooking, experiment a lot, try various recipes from different cuisines. Also an important thing is to get to know the ingredients and their taste so you can identify them when tasting a dish. And as in life, the rule no 1 is to find the right balance between ingredients.
Who would you invite to your dream dinner party and what would you cook for them?
My dinner party is a gathering in which the food is not the scope, but the occasion.
This dinner party it often gets into reality. That is when I sit around the table with family and we enjoy a good meal, some warm talking, the presence of each other, enjoying our loving crib and leaving the crazy world behind...that’s my favorite and it’s a dream that often come true. For that I would prepare some tasty make ahead appetizers, some good wine, I kind of enjoy it a little bit chilled as the dessert we’ll serve later. For main dish I would prepare some trout with parmesan and some roasted baby potatoes .. that’s happening on the day we are not on diet :)
It would be also nice to have some friends joining us, who can truly appreciate the good taste and ready to experiment new culinary stuff. Would be nice to chat about the big questions of life to which we find more and more answers as the bottle of wine gets empty, surprised by how clever we suddenly got. :)
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
As for other crafts the only ones beside cooking are paper crafts which I do often with my little daughters. My hobbies blends now into those that can be practice with my family. We really enjoy bike riding, swimming and traveling, being outside in the nature.
