What are your hobbies?
Yes! I foster kittens, which is fun and rewarding - especially when we can help find homes for them. I also adore traveling, thrifting, writing and basically anything that involves being next to the water.
What are your favorite crafts and what's your craft space like?
Truly my favorites are things that are quick, easy, budget friendly and useful. I don't consider myself an expert in any particular area; I merely like to explore and see what types of things I can try that fit into the scope of what I like.
I'm more of a project oriented gal, so my dedicated crafting "space" is more of a small cabinet that holds normal craft supplies - paint, brushes, glue... it's an ever growing collection of bits and pieces.
What do you craft along to?
Normally, I set up on my dining room table, and - oddly enough - my favorite thing to craft along to (or with) is my cat. He normally takes up residence on the dining room chair next to mine, so I adore having a bit of furry company while I craft.
What was the first project you ever made?
Ha! I don't, but I've always tried to do a little something. I probably painted a pet rock or made some homemade Christmas ornaments (which my mom still puts on her tree, lol!).
What are your favorite items to make?
Again, anything that can be done inexpensively and quickly - and has a purpose. I like things that are different and useful.
I do have to say that the project that changed me the most was my travel journal. Finding out that I could produce some sort of art with a pen and watercolor surprised me. I actually have the desire to join the local art club and explore a bit more of what artist may be tucked down inside of me.
Which other craft blogs do you love to read?
Ooh, that's a tough one. I'll go ahead and admit that I'm not really much of a blog reader. I more go to Pinterest to research ideas and click on links. Then I end up on the inevitable trail of landing on a blog and poking around a bit.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
A few of the projects I've made, I have turned into DIYs to do with others... especially around the holidays. The past few Christmases, whoever wants to will gather around the table and make a DIY to take home with them. It serves as a fun keepsake, but it also allows for us all to converse and create together. Multi-purpose for sure!
