What are your hobbies?
I DIY, blog, style photo shoots, bake, and I'm a full-time copywriter, but on the weekends you'll find me daaancing until the sun comes up without a doubt. I also love traveling, taking pictures, and rearranging rooms (yep).
What are your favorite crafts and what's your craft space like?
I love turning something ordinary into something beautiful, and making my living space and daily life a little more festive. Glitter-coded keys, embellished desk accessories, hand-painted tropical motifs on the wall...
Right now my craft space is wherever I sit down to do a project, and my supplies are everywhere. It's not a gorgeous, clean instagram-ready area. It's more like a creative explosion. Reality, babes!
What do you craft along to?
I usually serial-watch episodes of Project Runway or other fashion-related shows to keep me motivated, or I put on rainymood.com for a calmer vibe. I have some eccentric playlists, too. It all leans toward audio-escapism so I can free my mind and create.
What was the first project you ever made?
I've been making things since I was a tiny little lady... but I do remember making miniature things out of Sculpey clay for my dollhouse when I was a kid. I have always been obsessed with miniatures.
What are your favorite items to make?
I studied fashion design at FIT, and I sell my own designs through my Etsy Shop, Bombay Mermad (etsy.com/shop/bombaymermaid). I am definitely biased towards pretty dresses, summery style and decor, and pastel everything. If it reminds me of vacay, I love it.
