When did you first start making jewelry and how did you learn?
I started making jewelry when I was in high school. I remember looking at a pair of earring and thinking I could make them. I just grabbed my dad’s pliers and made my very first pair of earrings just by looking at a pair I had bought.
Can you remember the first piece you made?
The first piece I made was a pair of drop earrings. They were made with black beads. I remember feeling so proud when I wore them and told my friends I had made them.
Where do you look for inspiration?
I love the style of J.Crew and Anthropologie. I always find myself drawn to big statement necklaces. They are kind of my “thing”.
What's your craft space like and how do you organize your supplies?
I have the back bedroom in our pretty small apartment. It is decorated in a black, yellow, and white color scheme. I have a table, small storage bins, and a rack with small storage containers for all of my jewelry supplies. I would say most of the time it is not organized! I keep telling my husband I need more space! :)
What music/podcasts/TV shows do you love to craft along to?
Honestly, I am usually crafting to whatever my husband, Mike, has on in the background. If he’s not home I usually forget to even to the tv on for background noise!
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I love making jewelry, but would consider myself a ”general“ crafter. I always find myself drawing inspiration from EVERYTHING around me. I love making my “version” of something I see, but for much cheaper.
