When did you first get in to cooking and do you remember the first recipe you tried?
I have always been more fond of eating than cooking, but yes, I remember I have loved experimenting with food since ... forever.
As far as i remember ,the first recipe I tried was the cheese omelette, maybe when i was like 10 years old.
What's your kitchen like and how do you keep organized when cooking?
At present my kitchen is a small L shaped kitchen. I don't have much working space, so all the more important for me to keep my kitchen organised. Im very particular about where I keep my things.i keep cleaning my workplace while cooking, and do not like piling up dirty dishes. Cooking , cleaning, and washing dishes all go side by side, while I'm working in the kitchen. I like to leave my kitchen spic and span, so that whenever I enter my kitchen next, Im ready to roll.
What tips would you give to someone wanting to become a better cook?
Just one advise - Imagine and create.
Experiment as much as you want. Don't ever hold back your ideas. Cooking is a beautiful combination of art and science. You might fail to create something perfect, but you will create something new.
Who would you invite to your dream dinner party and what would you cook for them?
Aaah! My dream dinner guest list would be my whole family including a few very close people who are no more with us , and my best friends. I so wish that was possible, as i hardly get time to be with my family and friends, and everyone together would be so much fun.
I would like to keep the menu simple, and easy, so maybe a nice curry, biryani, dal makhani, butter chicken(everyone loves this), fresh salad, and loads of puddings for desserts, some fresh lemonade, and my favourite plum refresher. Ok, actually i can think of innumerable things to add in my menu, but i'll stop here, and answer the next question ;)
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
With my daughter keeping me busy all the time, i hardly get any time for anything else, but i used to do a lot of painting, and i love doing DIY projects.
Besides that i love reading, and travelling.
Which cooking blogs do you love to read?
Deliciously Ella is one blog that inspired me to start my blog. I love reading smitten kitchen, cookie and kate, Lucy and lentils, local milk.
