When did you first start sewing and how did you learn?
I was largely self-taught at first but have learned from a lot of talented, generous people along the way.
Can you remember the first thing you made?
A quilted Christmas tree skirt with fabric angels – repleat with make-up.
Do you have any favourite pattern designers or celebrity sewers?
Too many to list… I love them all. I also love all styles, from traditional to modern.
What's your sewing room like and how do you organize your stash?
I have a room above the garage I store things in but mostly I sew in our living room amongst the chaos.
What music/podcasts/TV shows do you love to stitch along to?
I listen to books on tape from audible.com – mostly biographies because people’s lives are really the most interesting stories out there.
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I love needlework, drawing, and cooking, but I don’t’ get to do as much of those as I’d like.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I like to contrast modern and traditional styles and techniques in my work.
