Weave long grass into a bangle
I was walking my dog and saw some long grass so picked 6 blades, tied a knot in one end and started to weave from the left side only to the right. when I had a long enough piece of weave I sewed the ends together with a beading needle so the grass would not split so much, cut off the ends and had myself a nice, free bangle.
I copied the first weaving picture but with six strands folded and no stick in it.

  • How to make a braided bracelet. Woven Grass Bangle - Step 1
    Step 1

Pick 6 blades of long grass.
Tie a knot in one end.
Try to fold the grass along the middle stem but this is not essential but will make it stronger.
Start to weave like the picture but without the stick.
When you think it is long enough sew the ends together.
    Cut the ends.

i use the same technique on my sisters hair from a tutorial on princesshairstyles.com

just scroll down a bit, until you find green lettering and click "7 strand braid"
and then i learned how to do it with seven strands, but after you learn the technique then you can do it with any odd number!

Do you remember how long the grass was, more or less? I'm thinking of using this weaving technique with different material, but I have no idea how to calculate the length Happy
