• Step 1

  paint water on to the paper

• Step 2

  for the first kind: drip paint onto the paper before the water has dried
  second kind:paint light strokes with a pantbrush

  to make sure your bookmark is nice and flat, put a heavy object on it when wet

• Step 3

  add your final touches to the bookmark after the paint dries (add a charm or trace a pattern with a thin marker
