Thank you! I want a vintage suit so bad but Ive got big boobies, a big butt and a tiny waistline so I could never find one that would fit me correctly. Now I can make my own!
REALLY love this! My mom makes competition bathing suits for a living so I'm going to try to steal some of her pretty spandex... Most definitely trying to make it this summer!
i will try this way of making a pattern, i need to make 8 '20s-style bathing outfits for an amateur circus. like the black-and-white-striped unitards with the little pants. any advice on adding short legs? what about for a man? i have one piece to copy that i haven't seen yet, so hopefully having that will be helpful.
scooby snacks, yeah it's water...useable. haha, technically I think the fabric is supposed to be for gymnastics or something, but it's all just spandex anyways ;)
this is awesome. i can never find bathing suits i like, so im overly excited that you put a tutorial of this up. one question, is the material you used like, water acceptable? lol i mean like is it the same as the swimsuit fabric you would find store made swimsuits out of?
Thank again for all the comments, guys! And I'll probably post a how to sometime before fall term starts up again. And I used my machine for this, but I made the pattern myself
BTW, when you say "It will save you many tears!!" - is that tears(crying) or tears(ripping)? or both?
Starchild, I used a pattern I made for this leotard I wore a while back.
It was quite difficult, XD
you did a great job.
