About
Jewelry School: Bead Stringing
Bead stoppers are useful in securing the end of a project in process so that the beads don’t fall off! Some bead stoppers are available with plastic covering the wire loops for ease and comfort. To attach a bead stopper:

You Will Need
-
Step 1
Pinch the wire loops at either side of the wire coil, which will open up space between the coils.
-
Step 3
Release the wire loops at either side of the wire coil, ensuring that the tiger tail or thread is caught securely between the coils.
Note: Multiple strands can be held by one bead stopper if desired. -
Step 4
Remove the needle and keep the pearls from coming off with a bead stopper.
-
Step 7
With two strands in one hand and two strands in the other hand, tie a reef (square) knot – left over right, pull tight, then right over left and pull tight. Be sure the beads are tight against the bead tip/calotte, without any gaps of thread showing below, but not so tight that the strands are stiff. Pull the strands tight to make the knot as small as possible.
