Cut eight tabs about 1/2 inch deep around the top and bottom of the tube. Punch a hole near the top of each tab.
Step 3
Decorate! This one is for a christmas gift so I stamped it with a snowflake ^_^
Step 4
Tie one end of your yarn/ribbon of choice to one of the tabs, leaving a 4-5 inch tail.
Step 5
Thread the long end of your ribon/yard through the back of each tab, pushing the tabs down as you go. Be sure to keep the tail end out of the tube as we will use this to tie it all together later.
Step 6
After you have puched down all the tabs, tie the two ends together. It shoud look like the picture. ^_^
this is great!!! i have just made 2 and filled them with individualy wrapped sweets (from a tin of Cadburys Roses) and then glued sequins onto the outside and i will be using these as little extra gifts to go with xmas pressents.A hell of a lot cheaper than buying a box of chocs and they look adorable.xxx
I was just thinking this morning, as I replaced the roll, that I really should be keeping the tubes because there are so many nifty things to do with them. Especially if you have kids! And with my husband's use of toilet paper, I could make presents for everyone!!! Love it.
Thanks for sharing
Great Idea! So many ways to decorate these as well!
