A fun, felted top hat!
One of my absolute favorite comic book series inspired this hat! While not the main focus of the series, Death is a recurring character, but instead of a skeleton dressed in drab robes carrying a scythe, Death is a Sassy teenage goth girl with a great eye for fashion!
This mini fascinator top hat is a nod to her trendy style. Fascinators are huge right now, and this one is really easy to make! Knit in the round, with only a few increases and decreases for shaping. Felted to hold a solid shape, then accented with a veil, feathers, however you decide to decorate it!

Step 4
Cut yarn, thread through tapestry needle, weave through remaining stitches and close.
Felt, stuff with plastic bags or towels to block. Let the bottom brim roll up. With the increases at the top, you can even set the top at an angle for a cool off kilter look.
Attach netting for veil. Get as creative as you want at this point! Felt flowers, feathers, etc! Use some bobby pins to hold in place on your head, or sew in a comb or hair clips.
