• 

  Step 1

  first off, go searching through any scrap material you have. any old junk will do really. ripped old clothes?
  make sure it's pretty though. :)

  Step 2

  i chose some scraps from cut-off's from tie-dye jeans that i made into shorts, a prettyyyy silky blue ribbon and a darker rainbow tie-dye top i never wore and destroyed.

• 

  Step 3

  then you need to plait them.
  if you're using scraps of material, you need to cut them into 3 long strips. (long as in like, 20cm remember, it needs to fit around half your head but as you plait it, it'll get smaller)

  you need to plait these quite tightly and tie a knot in both end to secure it.

• 

  Step 4

  then you need to grab some elastic. preferably tough, thick elastic.
  i didnt have any.
  so i destroyed another good top and took out the elastic support lining and tidied it up abit. this has to make up for the other half of your head :)

  Step 5

  then you just sew them together, making sure it's secure and the thread is hidden otherwise it'll look abit scruffy :)

• 

  Step 6

  voila!

  scruffy, rainbow-ish headband.
