About
Fantasy fabric Burnt Beautiful Bush and Gum Leaves.
My first attempt at creating some fantasy fabric. Started with a plain piece of calico which was hand painted and dyed. Used some dried gum leaves to make an impression on the fabric in gold fabric paint. Added threads and a variety of different burnt pieces of fabric and sandwiched these bits and bobs beneath some tulle. I then used a variety of threads on the sewing machine to secure the bits and pieces by sewing over the Tulle. I may use this fabric in a tote bag or maybe make a journal cover with it...
