• 

  Step 1

  Take an old miniature valentines box OR use whatever shape you want. :)
  Figure out where you want your box to go. Turn the box upside down and trace the shape on the paper, Cut out the shape and ONLY the shape.
  Do this until you can fit the box in as far as you want. Since I didn't want to edges flush with the pages I only did 23-30 pages..Glue the pages the box goes through TOGETHER!
  Tear out the front of the book.

  Step 2

  Use the pages you tore out of the book and cover the outside of the hardcover. Do this however you want! I tore mine in half and covered the whole book, then in strips to create texture and weaves.
  I then STAMPED the outside of the book with rubber stamps!

  P.s. I used the inside title page for the front of my book since I LOVE Sleeping Beauty.

  Step 3

  As you can see I used the pages I tore out to create little paper rolls. Just cut into strips, glue together and glue seam side down to page.
  I also used some strips to cover the inside of the box.

  Step 4

  Continue the paper rolls until you are satisfied...or your fingers are bored.
  I used a glue stick and covered the inside bottom of the box. I then added fake rose petals. (from our honeymoon)
  LEAVE ROOM WHERE YOU WANT TO ADD YOUR RIBBONS. You will glue the ribbons down THEN add a roll on top of the ribbon to hold it.

  Step 5

  Finish the box rose however you want. I filled the middle of mine in with flat marbles and sticky crystals.
  As you can see the ribbon has been attached UNDER the paper roll.

  Step 6

  Decorate the other page however you like~! Now that the hard part it over have fun! This is a good time to use up scrapbooking scraps.

  The sticker says:
  Come live in my heart and pay no rent.
  Very fitting for the heart box I thought :)

  Step 7

  Now your done! This altered book can function as a scrapbook, piece of art, and token of your affection all at the same time! Now sit back and enjoy before you clean up the HUGE paper mess!

I love this and thank you for emailing me about it. It is so good to know that someone else loves rolling up paper. I rolled pages from daily calendars-Bad Girl's Guide to Life and a Snoopy one. I positioned them so that you could barely see the illustration. Glued them on a dollar store canvas and fabulous. Time to get a digital camera.....
