used scrap suede pieces!
5 layers. Didn't use a template for the flower shape but cut two each in a larger and medium size and one small one for the middle.
burned the edges with a flame to get the darkened sides and curl! Isn't this fabulous? I'm debating whether to eBay this or keep it! what do you think?

Crystal, thanks! And make sure you use a material that "burns" nicely! I used a really thick suede that burned well...thinner inexpensive suedes (i.e. apparel suedes, etc that cost up to $30/yards aren't the best...) Good luck and let me know if you need help! Also, I cut the flowers in more of a star pattern

This is beautiful! I can't wait to make it for one of my knitted hats. I made one with self stripping blue yarn and this would compliment it nicely!
