neat and easy
Frying ribbons are horrible. They become shorter every day and eventually you can't use them anymore. You will always see stitches. And sewing ribbons is kind of hard too. So, I use nail polish.

Add nail polish on the edge. The lighter the colour of the ribbon the more you will see the nail polish. After drying cut the edge shorter so you see as less nail polish as possible.

So, that's neat! You can also make different shapes like arrows and half circles.

Good idea. I usually just burn the ends with a candle but that makes the ends black and they can get all ripply and such.
